Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 28, 2026

1. Information We Collect

GoalCase is designed with privacy in mind. We collect only the information necessary to provide you with portfolio tracking services:

  • Google Account Data: When you log in via Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture.
  • Financial Data: When you upload your Consolidated Account Statement (CAS), we parse and securely store your mutual fund transactions, folio numbers, and scheme codes to generate your dashboard.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data exclusively to:

  • Authenticate you securely.
  • Calculate your portfolio's performance, XIRR, and absolute returns.
  • Allow you to map your investments to personal financial goals.

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your financial data with any third parties or advertisers.

3. Data Security

Your financial transaction data is stored securely. Passwords provided for opening CAS PDFs are only used ephemerally in memory to extract the data and are never saved or stored on our servers.

4. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to delete your account and associated private data (including your user profile, goals, transaction history, and folio mappings) directly from the settings panel in the app at any time.

NAV Data Retention Policy: To keep historical charts fast and accurate for all users and to prevent redundant external API queries, any public, non-identifying mutual fund historical NAV records fetched or uploaded during your statement import will be retained globally in our shared database. This data is entirely public, contains zero user-identifying elements, and is identical for all investors.
